Roum Studio provides Interior Architecture and Interior Design services for Renovations and New Builds. From Spatial Planning at the Concept Design stage through to styling and staging completed projects, we are able to support clients on a full range of interior services.

Roum Studio explores a creative process that is heavily influenced by the clients lifestyle, the site location and the architecture. Working collaboratively with the clients, the architect and contractors to reach the best outcome for the client in terms of both budget and design solutions. Our experience in the design and building industry has enabled us to develop relationships with industry tradespeople and suppliers, providing our clients with a simplified and streamlined design process.

We have worked within the Northland region from the Far North to Mangawhai.

O U R P R O C E S S

  • Post our initial first point of contact, we will begin by meeting with you and looking over the space, site or plans. We will then sit down and identify your budget, design ideas and requirements for the project. Each project is tailored to the clients’ requirements and once the scope of work that is required has been estimated, we will send you a design proposal which will include an estimated fee to undertake the project.

  • Once the design proposal and estimated fee have been approved, we then get to know you, your family and your lifestyle a little better and establish your preferred design style. We then go over any imagery that speaks the language of the aesthetic you are wanting to achieve. The Architecture plans, interior spaces and proposed plans are then reviewed and we identify if there are any key elements that need integrating and make sure that all areas and spaces are thoroughly assessed. We then provide a visual presentation of the initial concept including a selection of key finishes and imagery.

  • The design is then developed further into the detailing of materials for floors, walls, ceilings and cabinetry and all concept drawings for the hard fitout cabinetry are detailed into the drawing package with supporting render for each area. This is the stage that all of the lighting, whiteware, tapware, appliances, hardware and window treatments are chosen. All of the above is then documented within a Specification of Finishes schedule for all contractors and designers involved. All of these are coordinated to meet your delivery schedule.

  • We take pride in establishing cohesion between the finer details, interior finishes and the architecture of a project. Each package is tailored and customised to suit each client. We space plan the interior to make sure that the scale and proportions of the furniture, fixtures and equipment suit each and every space.

  • Throughout the process, we make regular site visits and will liaise with any contractors, architects, and suppliers whenever necessary. This ensures that the process runs seamlessly from construction phase through to the final finishings.

  • We manage and take care of all of the furniture, fixtures and equipment deliveries and installations and can style your home for you prior to your move in date.
