A design collaboration with the Architectural Designer (Kyle Kake at Mason Street) and the clients to create a new home on the entrance to the Whangarei Harbour for their young family. The brief was to create a relaxed environment that didn’t feel too new, that would be robust, timeless and easy to live in. With a focus on incorporating elements of Taraire timber milled from their family’s farm, we selected oak flooring, plywood joinery, rendered wall and timeless fittings.
Brief
Full design from concept to completion including - Design collaboration with Mason Street Architectural Drafting on the layout of the interior spaces on the site and architectural elements. Conceptual and detailed design of the kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms, including custom vanities and built-in furniture. Interior design selections and full specification of interior finishes, fixtures and colours. On going site support throughout the build process.
